Regine Velasquez's father Mang Gerry dies at 76. Napahanga ang lahat sa professionalism na pinakita ni Regine Velasquez sa gitna ng pagkamatay ng tatay niyang si Mang Gerry. On Feb 3, dumalo si Regine Velasquez sa presscon ng Valentine concert nila ni Martin Nievera na gaganapin na sa sa Feb, 14 sa MOA. Sa kalagitnaan ng presscon ay natanggap ni regine ang balita na binawian na ng buhay ang kanyang ama sa The Medical City. Despite of this, Regine managed to maintain her composure and answered all the questions by the media up to the end of the presscon.

If we all can remember, Regine's father was diagnosed with a cardiac problem and since then he was already in and out of the hospital. at 1:39PM, Feb 3, Mang Gerry was officially declared "expired" due to heart failure.

In fact, amidst the loss of her father, Regine Velasquez still managed to attend the rehearsal of her upcoming valentine concert with Martin Nievera. Indeed, marami ang napahanga sa professionalism at katatagan ng tinaguriang Asia's Songbird.
